I leased this space, I knew it was too big for me, but the idea
was to build the space I wanted and to fill it with interesting
people doing synergistic things. We’re doing just that,
and if you’re a growing software, biotech, design, marketing/PR,
or other field we haven’t thought of yet, maybe the Collaboration
Space is for you. |

A
Place to Start, A Place to Grow
The
Collaboration Space is different from other shared office
spaces. These differences may or may not be good for you.
The space is not for long term use. It is meant to be a way
to get you hooked into a new network, figure out a new idea,
move your business to a new level.
My
goal is to have a flow of people coming though the space,
and to build a network of people that know each other from
having worked together here. Figure 1-2 years max. Some companies
will start here and grow out very quickly, in say, six months.
Others may be individuals and may stay for longer periods.

Collaboration
and Cross Fertilization
Another
goal of the Collaboration Space is to have people from a range
of technical and non-technical areas. We already have people
who are experts in software, graphics, and operating systems.
We’re looking for people in such fields as architecture,
landscape design, computer graphics, bioinformatics, design
(product / industrial / graphic / web), civil or mechanical
engineering, and marketing / PR.
